What parts from Porsche are we in danger of running out?

Doesn't Porsche have a division now that caters to their "classic cars and parts" ??? I would assume our cars would fall into this in a few years so we can get parts in order to "restore."

The good news about having your "old" car as a Porsche is that Porshce's are probably maintained the longest among most types of cars. Lets fact it how many mid 80's do you see around anymore. Especially those that actually look good. I do see 80's cars, but most are ready for dumps and will be there soon. Their owners are simple using up the last little bit of the car before they are complete junk.
Porsches however (914, 911, 944, 928) however tend to be more commonly held as older cars. These old cars are usally not being "used up", but are being used and loved so in many respects it is a simply supply & demand. I'd be the demand for 25 year old original Porsche parts is quite high compared to other makes like a 25 year old Ford parts. In that respect Ford chooses to no longer stock parts, but Porsche does. Simple economics really. Hey who buys a new Ford intending to keep it for 20 years. Then again how many people buy Porsches with itent to keep them forever. Hey after almost 10 years of 944 Turbo Ownership I still intend to keep it for many many years. How many years? Can't say for sure, but it would be cool to have 20 years more and still keep it running.
Heck maybe with a Vitesse stage IXIX we can get it to 700 hp on pump gas by then!

I just bought a set of new plastic 968 brake cooling scoops. I couldn't find any dealers in the US that still had a complete set. Sunset had the lowers and ordered the uppers from Germany. They told me that there are only about 100 sets left. The good news is that it only took 4 weeks and the cost of the complete set was about $60.
