Angry So my console door hinge broke - what are my options?

Ok, so I opened it the other day it it just came completly off. I will not buy another one, my console is in great shape otherwise and the new one will have the same design flaw built right into it.

1. Has anyone successfully installed some kind of metal hinge that does not look Ghetto?

2. Has anyone found a way to bolt it down, but still be able to take it off to get to the screws that hold the console to the tunnel?

I kinda like option 2, just bolt it down and be done.........I really don't use that tiny little space anyways and I certainly don't have a need to store any cassett tapes.

you mean in the center console?

one day the whole door just ripped off.

i covered the jagged plastic edges and now it holds my wallet and my cell phone in relative order when i'm driving.

and my CD remote control goes in there too......

True, it is inexpensive, but I know mine will last.
