Rememebr these are German cars and in their pure form are in celsius, they are "bastardized" with MPH gages in order to sell to the big US market. If I were to buy a US car the first thing would do is put it back to the way it was intended with a KPH speedo and odometer.
That being said I keep my house thermostat in Farenheit because as mentioned has a higher degree of resolution and easier to control the temp.

Yeah!
Pity it wasn't a penalty tho!

We have been using metrics for 30+ years. I still think of peoples heights in feet and inches. As in I am 6' tall not 182cm!

Wow, I don't remember seeing one in this color before, looks great! Is this the original color?

I'll sure pass by the restaurant to take a look at it, and maybe grab something to eat

Yes. The original color was that "baltic blue" (re: Baby powder blue) that fortunately, was tired and faded. I mixed the Iris blue from Porsche and the Montreal blue (swear to G_d that's what it's called!) from BMW to get the right hue of purplish-blue. I know people say that a re-paint devalues your car, but I'm not so sure what these same people would have said if they had seen the condition of the paint before I painted it. Would they have paid more $ to buy it, because it was "original"? I don't think so.
So my "Purple-Pony-Car-Eater" is usually parked outside. Come in, ask for George, tell me your from Rennelist, and I'll buy you a pint or several on my terracce.
Hey.........come to think of it, we can make this a weekly or monthly event for all the Porschephiles in montreal! I have a huge parking lot next to the store, and a lovely quiet terracce. We could meet and quaff a few every once in a while.
....I'll think I'll post that in all the forums. What do you think?

I really, really like the idea. I'm leaving for vaction for something like 12 days but I'll be sure to check back here, and we'll try to organize something. That would be really fun.

I see so many 944's now that I have one, I'm sure we could have a nice group. I just don't know how many are on rennlist.

See ya
I'm leaving now
