Default Because I can't be the only idiot here...

In commemoration of the fact that I finally did something I swore I was smart enough not to do, I thought I'd ask how many of you have ever done the same...

So who's left the sunroof open and had their car rained in?

True, I did forget that one.

And thankfully, no flood, but it was really damp, and the already dying leather on my shifter started coming off on my hand... Ah well, it was going anyway (sloppy shifter syndrome), right?

I've had the car get rained on with the sunroof open but I was pretty quick to close it.

However, my roommate was borrowing the Miata one time and left the top down in a storm. Does that count?

Which "yes" should I pick?

I just put new carpeting in and the rain hasn't gotten to it, so it's all good.

I had the RX7 at a girlfriends house under a tree with the top down. didnt realize it started to pour, forgot the top was down.

her nanny comes in and asks if it is my car. OOOPS. fortunately the tree buffered most of the rain but i did use about five bath towels blotting.

Top that!!

Hey ORBIX, your poll is flawed. I need to check more than one box!!!

I remember working at DePauw (my alma mater or something) a couple of summers ago between my sophomore and junior year of college and seeing a guy leave a brand-new M3 convertible with the top down all day in a pouring rainstorm. I'm talking about 2" of rain in one day- SERIOUS storm. Never did get to see the guy come back out and find his car...

I have never let the 944 get rained in. However, once I went golfing and left the top down on my TR4. While on the back 9 a classic Ohio summer thunderstorm struck. The poor TR was transformed into a bathtub.
