Default Dealing with Ted Wright.

To the disbelievers:
I bought some injectors from Ted many months ago. I only gave him a deposit and it took us months to actually meet up and finalize the sale. He lives about 2.5hrs north on me and it was difficult to find time that mutally worked out. He was more then patient with me. In fact, when I finally got to meeting up with him he took me for a ride in his red 951 right before he sold it. As for the injectors, I got a smoking good deal. They are the genuine bosch 52lb/hr. I paid less then half of the "brand new" price for them and they were only used for 2k miles. They were in like new condition. I only have praise for him as a fellow lister and Porsche enthusiast.

I have great experience with Ted as well, not to mention hes a friend of mine. I think most transactions were good with him. I know serge had an issue, but I really don't think Z-Man's gripe is justified. I geuss thats a matter of opinion.
Anywho, Teddy is a good guy.

I like Ted. I haven't spoken with him in a LONG time, but we used to chat all the time and I actually bought a few things from him. Wonder how he is. We need to catch up.

There is more to my "Ted story" than I care to discuss here.

I am sure that he's had some good transactions with others here - which is fine. I'm glad it worked out for those folks.

Have we become that Politically Correct that we can't complain about a negative experience? Are we that smug?

Bottom line for me is this: had Ted been upfront with and told me the stuff he promised me was no longer available, I would have let it be at that. A sale isn't a sale until money and product exchange hands. So if Ted couldn't make good on the deal, he should have had the decency to tell me. Instead, he just led me on - making me believe the deal was still a go. All he had to do was tell me "The deal's a wash - I can't get you the product." And NO ONE would have heard of any of this.

Instead, when I posted my now infamous "I'm calling you out Ted" thread, he didn't answer my questions. Rather, he said the thread was nonsense and deleted the thread. And he still hasn't told me what happened to the product - I do not think it was too much for me to ask what happened.

-Z-man.

He owes me and at least 2 other people money. Luckily mine is only ~50 for a transmission mount, but I think he owes someone hundreds for seats that were never delivered. I hope someday he makes right, I liked him.
