Hey Rick, welcome and congratulations on a wonderful car. I have driven it and it is truly a great car. BTW, I saw you driving it today on 4th street near CPCC today. My wife pointed out a realy nice looking red 944 and then I saw the American flag in the window with what appeared to be a rennlist sticker below.

i love this - i suspect I'll be seeing the ole girl all the time.

Fernando - I'll have tickets - Mike has me on the list - I'm still in PCA for a little while longer. Why dont you just use mine.

Richard - I signed the papers tonight on an '06 Laguna Blue Pearl S2k. I pick it up tomorrow night.

Rick - why not have a GTG for your retention and meet everyone?

see you all soon.

Hey Joe, did you get from Hendrick Honda on South blvd.? There was a blue one in the showroom there with a sold sign on it. I realy think you will and enjoy that car. Take out for a day put the 600 miles on it and then enjoy the V-tech.

Thanks for the offer - but doesn't he take an inventory of what cars will be there, etc? I will contact him to make sure!

Happy to hear about the new purchase!!! Let us know what you think of it when you are able to hit 9000 RMP on it!

Fernando unfortunately the one Joe is getting does not rev to 9000rpm. They redline at 8k(bigger engine 2.2 L. instead of 2.0 L.) and some change if I am not mistaken. I can tell you from experience 9k in a car is a lot of fun and I can imagine that the 8k and some will be as well.

as i cant go over 4k rpm for 600 miles I can tell you that all the press loving the car but faulting it on its low end slumber are just wrong.

I like the car just fine tooling around town, plenty responsive - and knowing it can be beat to within an inch of its life and be a completely different car.

The other things that I like that I may have said here before it the purity of the whole design package, even at the sacrafice of basic creature comforts. The technology in the car is phenonimal at the price point.

When I post some pics tonight, i believe you will agree that Honda pays homage to the 944 in some basic aspects of the design. I'd like to know if anyone thinks the same.

From some angles the S2K resembles, dare I say, the S2 Cabrio -- coincidence or not???

Joe - I'll probably be going alone as I can't subject the girls to another bad weather outing!

Joe, Congratulations on the sale, it sounds like the car found the right owner.

Rick, Welcome to the board!!!

Fernando, -You kick a$$ (unexpectedly bumped into him at his Mauy-Thai testing)

Richard, How many miles are on your 951? -mine is in mothballs until it sells.

Joe, I have to agree with you fully. I have more fun pushing the S2k through corners and not revving the crape out of it. It is such a pure driving experience, words can not describe how fun those cars are. BTW, the one I saw with the sold sign yesterday at Hendrick Honda, was that yours?
