i dont know if im getting my chain pulled, or if maybe just car brokers look on autotrader a lot for vehicles, i've gotten a couple of emails, replied, and they just sound funny to me. for example, first guy says this -

- May I know if you still have thie vehicle for sale, and get back to me as soon as possible with your bottom price and the condition of the car for immidiate purchase. Thanks SENDER\'S NAME: James Mat
TELEPHONE: Buyer did not Provide

I replay back, and send him all the pictures i have posted above, then i get this -

Hi,
My client was much impressed with the condition of your car.

He can't wait to see the car parked in his garage.Send pics(interior and exterior) if any for my client's veiwing.
However,His offer is $5,000 reconfirm for onward transaction immediately.
Have a wonderful day.

Mr.Mat

I sent him some more pictures, of interior and exterior (not like i have a shortage or anything) then dont hear back from him, but now i have a new guy and he says this -

My client is interested in buying your vehicle,if it is still available contact me immrdiately.
Thanks
John

so, my question is do you guys think it sounds funny or am i just paranoid? we'll see i guess, car isnt going anywhere without money in my hand so i guess its not a real big deal... just false hope is all

Hey Andrew, on the one hand, it does not sound warm and fuzzy, like an enthiast genuinely interested in the car for example. But on the other hand, you don't have anything to lose and there is nothing blatantly wrong with what those prospects have said so I would follow up just in case.

Hey, I noticed you have not posted your car in the Rennlist classifieds yet... Might want to give that a shot. (I bought my car through the Rennlist classifieds...)

rule of thumb- dont reply to anyone that says "my client"- its a scam. Wait for someone to call or email like " hey dude nice car can you swing by fat burger so i can totally check it out, cool"

I'm in the same boat as your right now with my 944 for sale. Plenty of scammers and a few low ballers, but I've yet to get serious offers.

The market for 944s doesn't seem very strong right now.

Good luck on your sale!

Why not list it on Craigs List in the surrounding areas? Can't hurt!
