Hi everyone, Porsche 968 roof switch is working ok.. it is lifting & clising properly.. but when it comes to close position roof is not locking property means that I can lift up the roof from rear side... I saw that the rack arm is going away from the sunroof lock position at both left & right side... & When roof is down at close position & I operate the switch.. motor still works & makes continuous noise..... The plastic gears are ok....I think there is something called limit switch that is problem but I don't know the location & adjustment of it... Can anyone help ?

The limit switch comes loose on the back side of the lift motor mount bracket. That plastic cam the cable wraps around also breaks at the end where the cable attaches, it can be epoxied to get some more life out of it.
Follow the directions at Clarks garage to re-rig the lift arms after you tightened the micro switch back down.

Also, once you've isolated and corrected the problem, make sure the clutch on the lift motor is adjusted correctly. It has a tendency to get tighter over time, causing the vast majority of gear stripping issues.
