Ah, so you bought the 951 from Terry, eh? Good choice I think, should be very mechanically sound. He has some other nice cars there too, the race 968 and 928's are very nice.

If I recall correctly, it has fuchs on it, no? If you're interested, I have 16" polished flats from my 928 that has decent P02's and snow tires as well. I'm only about 10 miles from EuroMotorWerks. I'll make you a good deal. Or you can buy the D90's off my silver 928. If you pay me enough for those, I'll throw the 928 in as well. :-)

The flats are factory chromed, but need some elbow grease to shine them back up. The D90's are painted silver and have a little curb rash.

If you have room, I'll give you a free set of front and back seats and door panels. Or if you know someone back home interested, you might charge them a little to haul them back home with you.

Sorry, just trying to clean out the garage. :-)

Let me know if you're interested. I'll be at a volleyball tournament until about 3pm Sunday. PM me and I'll give you my cell #.

Not to hijack but God, I would love to own a 928. I thought they were so ahead of their time when they came out. The interiors are still the best design for any 80's car ever produced. Unfortunately I've been baptized at the Church of Stuttgart and pay my dues to the 944/951 saints hoping that I'll get into Heaven solely on the maintenance I've had to do myself. Folkes that do their own work on 928's are a shoo-in to Heaven from what I've heard.

I drove from Kansas City, MO to Indiana with my old Land Rover plate on the BMW. I then proceeded to drive like that for a few months until I finally went to the DMV..lol. I think if you have bill of sale, title, insurance you will be fine - most cops would be understanding I would think.

I once called AAA to come pick up a car I bought. Told them it broke down. 600 miles is a bit far to try that though. I had them tow a car from Naples to Deland, I guess about 200 miles. They gave me crap about it not having a tag, so I stuck a tag off my Maxima on it til the tow truck driver got there then took it back off and stuck it back on my Maxima and drove home with him behind me.

So what's your plan if you get caught doing something illegal and have to spend at least one night in the pokey and still can't drive the car because it's impounded for being unregistered?
