I just put in solid engine mounts from LR, and there is only a slight increase in vibration, barely noticeable. I'll be doing the tranny mount soon.

Benefits include crisper shifting, less power absorption, and reduced weight shifting. Oh, and you'll never have to replace them again.

Were your previous mounts OK, or were they shot?

Driver's side was fine, passenger's side was compressed. The vibration is not nearly as bad as I assumed it would be. If I was to get in my car for the first time, it would not be obvious that the engine mounts were swapped for solid units. Based on stated opinions, I expected it to be a lot worse than it is. Definitely not an uncomfortable amount of vibration.
