So who got all the good stuff at Hershey?
So I wake up pretty groggy, hit the shower and out the door I head straight to the turnpike headed for Hershey. I arrived at 8:30AM to find all the good stuff gone!
Aside from the steady drizzle that then turned into a downpour at noon, there were some highlights: one vendor had 1 new in box 944 engine bay harness, also an unboxed but still in plastic 951 harness for >$400, I saw a used but still white expansion tank ( a first ), 2 uncracked dashes, at least 8 pairs of soft leather seats, a few complete front turbo clips, and untold sets of cookie cutters. Very good watercooled pickings.
But here's the question: who got the cheap set of cup wheels, the 968 handles and mirrors, and the one 968/s2 hatch that shows up every year? This stuff is always there, I thought for sure I'd finally get a crack at something off of a 968.
I looked, but the closest I came was a set of cup wheels for $650 w/o tires. :-(
But, it was still worth the trip. I got to stand in line for the restroom.
What were the other experiences out there?

Picked up a factory car cover for the Boxster dirt cheap, Couple of scale models and thats about it.
Nothing "really cool" to buy.
Got there about 8:30 and left when it started to pour about 11:30 or so.
Still enjoyed and and glad I went.
Seemed to be alot of really good 944/951 stuff, made me miss my 951!

Some guy STOLE a 911 fender from winslow (asking $250).. Winslow made the mistake of letting his pal Antonio watch his booth for a few minutes while he went to the john, and when he got back he discovered antonio thought it was worth about $50!!

I sold my seats and also received a beautiful backseat in trade, thanks to a great RLer at the meet. Hope you enjoy your seats!
I also picked up a cheap 968 inside mirror (my old one was ghettofabulous rusty) and some P21S stuff from Car Care Specialties. I'm kicking myself for not picking up the 951 swaybars that a guy offered me.

After some folks got to chatting, it seems Antonio may have actually got a fair markt value, yet claimed to have sold it for $50 just to have some fun with Winslow. These two have ahistory of having fun at one and anothers expense, and today was no exception!
Great great times and great company! The new plate on the EM50 should be CPTAHAB, and Megadeth is our fantasy waitress!!!
Who would have guessed!

Three Wheelin'
The only I needed for my 944 that I haven't already bought was a right side foglight. Nobody I asked had one till a started digging around in a tub of stuff from a fellow who hadn't showed up yet. Score!
For such a common part, it was haard to find.
Oh, and nearly new OEM motor mounts for $10/each.

I got a set of Konis with springs/tops/etc.. for next to nothing. Besides that, I just got cold and wet. Thank god for the EM-50 Urban Assult Vehicle with heat. Other key highlights from the weekend are...
"It has boots"
Drunken cheermoms
Megadeath
Good times guys. I hope everyone makes it home safe.

I got a porsche hoody, wet and drunk. All the parts I was looking for, fellow listers hooked me up lol. I did see some stuff I wanted, but didn't feel like dishing out the money and not making it home lol.
It was a riot all day at the EM50. Good times! (i'm heading out now)

I got a pair of doorpanels for my 83' 944 with the porsche script along the top. Ive heard these are pretty rare, and were only used on the very early 82' 944. They also look awesome. They do however need some restoration, but they were in a trailer and not in the rain, so they were still in pretty decent shape. I also picked up a pair of new tie rods (for anyone who saw my other thread on this, I just decided to go with the tie rods with the dampners in them). I got freakin soaked there, but we came back after the rain had let up for awhile and went back through to see about some closeout deals.
The day before we actually went to the swap in carlisle which was supposed to be for all cars, but we basically found tools and camaro and vette parts. There is an import swap meet coming up at the same place for all foriegn cars which i might go to. they were saying they need more people to come up and support it because they have been losing interest over the years. Thats in a couple weeks, Im sure you could find some more info about it using google. For those of you who don't know, carisle is about thirty minutes away from hershey.
Anyways, i dug the banquet, it was awesome!

The swap meet was a wash, literally. Couldn't find most of the parts I was looking for (914 stuff). But the dinner and late night activities were tons of fun. Met a bunch of Rennlisters, drank a good amount.
I hosted a few pics here: http://coewww.rutgers.edu/~yarin/4-22-06Hershey None of the swap meet, just the dinner and autox today.
