Default I have an LSD?

Ok I finally start my s2 tranny install. Jack the car up on jack stands (safely) - spin the back wheel just for fun - and they both turned in the same direction. I could have sworn the last time I did this test they spun in opposite directions, So I do it again, they both spin in the same direction. I can't check the tranny code yet cuz I am still waiting on a tranny jack. Any thoughts. Does a non-lsd tranny wheels ever spin in the same direction?

Wait a moment... If the car is in gear... even with all four wheels off the ground, how are you going to spin the wheels by hand?

I know if you have the tranny on the ground or if you push in the clutch in you can spin the tire in gear. It should be easy enough to find out for sure though.

if it is in gear, with a open differential, if you spin one tire the other will turn the opposite direction. With a LSD they will not spin at all. or at least not easy. In neutral the lsd will always spin together the open dif you can hold one tire still and turn the other.
