Default Chiiiirrrp Chiirrrrrp Chiirrrrp from rear wheel

I noticed on Thursday that at very slow speeds (walking at a brisk pace speed) that I was getting a chirp from a rear wheel. Sounds like the left rear to me. Does so whether I am on the brake or not.
Seems to do it worse while going around a tight left hand corner, such as an intersection roundabout.
Speeding up a bit, and it gets slightly faster, then goes away (at a speed-walking or jogging pace)

Brake pads appear to have plenty of meat on them.

Any ideas what would cause this noise?

SOmeone over on Pelican said CV. Clarks Garage indicates it would be a clicking sound if it were the CV.

However...I did have my parking brake adjusted about a month ago, when a wheel bearing was replaced on the right rear.

If the pads are origonal they may have disintigrated and reminents are making the noise, when i replace mine they literally fell apart in my hands.

could be that the stay quiet pads behind the brake pads are MIA or not working. Could also be a slightly warped rotor making contact on and off.

Here's a pic of the pad on the side the noise appears to be coming from. They both look about the same, and have about the same amount of meat on 'em.

I don't think so. There is no pulsing of the pedal during braking.

3pm or so. I'll be going up early to show my mother a couple computer things, since she lives close by, and give Ken a call a little after 3 since I can't remember exactly what time he said he'd be there

Jawanna ride up there with me?
