Default WTB Euro Front Bumper

Anyone have one to fit an early NA car? Do they use different bumper shocks?

I believe you can use the turbo bumper shocks to mount it.

The one on Ebay is off a 924 but also fits a 944. It mounts using solid brackets which are pictured.

No shocks, solid mounts...well, kind of...they're not real stout so they will give a bit.

I'm thinking the bumper will give before the mounts do. By that I mean crack and delaminate since they are fiberglass. Well, at least one type of ROW bumper is.

If you find one,I have a container coming over from UK to Toronto, leaving in 5 days. Your welcome to throw one on board. email or pm if I can help. Postage from here would be better than what it costs from UK. The mounts are pressed steel items, should bolt up as they have the same bolt from the underside (forget that I'm thinking of my other UK car, even so I'm sure the bolts are the same (17mm from underneith) You can make some real easy, I can send pics as I have a set I have braced that my one man tow goes on to pick up engine-less cars. I made new ones for the racecar, just plates, tube and barstock, I could give you dimensions if needed.

Adie,

Is your racecar here in North America or in the UK?

Thanks Adie. I doubt I could line anything up in 5 days. Do you bring over a container from time to time? The pics and dims of your bumper mounts would be helpful (I do have access to a machine shop and welder).

Ok I'll get on it. I'm bringing back a motorsports shell, thats why i needed a container as they have to be running for roll on-roll off shipments, I also thought while I'm at it I'll grab some of the finer thing's in life (M&S underwear and Skips crisps, R whites lemonade and of course..........chocolate!)
Manning, I brought the car with me, I use it to pick up the post at present but a deal has been done for a conversion kit in exchange for everything I need to put it back on the road (headlights, wipers, indicator stalks and the like so may end up using it, if not I have a feeling the engine will make it's way to a merkur xr4ti shell and the drive line sold off as it's all rebuilt. I have other fish to fry at present so the 924 holds little interest for me.

Yeah, the bumpers I have are thick molded chopper gun type glass too. I still would imagine they would crack and crush if you packed into a pole or somebody bumped into you. Look at the crack in the one aribop had on auction for example.
