Halo Lights...
I bought a pair of Halo Headlights, the brand is Pilot. They said that it is a direct-fit 7" round hid conversion kit. When I got it, all it was was 7" round lenses. My current headlights have a weird metal bracket made into them that screws into the housing. Is there something that I should know about this? Is there a way to make these lights work? Or did I waste my money? If they won't work, is there a Halo kit that WILL work as a direct bolt on replacement?

Pop the lights up, unscrew the trim, fit them in, done.

My car has the H-4 Hella lamps in it. I wanted to upgrade to Halos. the "lamp" does not come off the metal bracket. It is one piece. After I take off the painted cover, and the black plastic trim stuff, the lamp is screwed in. When I unscrew it, the whole assembly comes off. It is weird. I thought that I could seperate the lamp from the metal bracket thing, but it doesn't come apart.

Should have looked at your location, you need to get advice from the Euro guys, apparently the lights are different.

you want halo's like the BMW angel eyes?......I'd keep the hellas, I'd say it would be a downgrade to put in halos, I doubt the lenses are nearly up to the hella standards. But to each their own.

the euro hella lights have a metal plate inside the lens (i'm guessing to spread the beam) but all it does is block it. I can't see to drive at night at all. That was the initial reason for the upgrade.

I am not familiar with Pilot at all, but I would guess the halo would obstruct light, I would look for some other lenses if you are unhappy with the hellas. I have Cibies that I'm very happy with. It could be different over there, but here in the states most of the aftermarket halo lights are junky. I'm no help with mounting them, I know nothing of the euro mounting system other than that it is different than ours. If you do decide to put on the halos, post a pic, I am curious.
