Default Consequences of using wrong spark plugs?

Changed out my spark plugs, and found out there were WR7DC in when WR5DC are required for the 944S2. What has this been doing to my engine, using the wrong plugs?

make sure they are the same length from the hex to the tip of the electrode. If its longer it could bottom on a piston. Other than that they are different heat ranges so it could run lean or flood out easily.

The WR7DC is the same lenght thread, no problem there. It is just two heat ranges hotter. Unless you ran the car wide open for an extended period, like tracking it, it should not do any damge.

It will, however, affect performance when the WR7DC plugs improperly installed in your car are gapped to 1,1mm instead of 0,7mm. It seems to start up quicker now.

Has anyone tried Bosch platinum plugs with the 4 electrodes? I have them in my Jeep Cherokee, might be my imagination, but it seems to start qicker on a very cold day, gas mileage ain't so bad either for a vehicle with 460,000 kms on her.

I had them in my '83 car. I replaced them with single 'trodes. I'm lazy. I didn't like having to work that hard to gap 'em properly. Gimick stuff, if ya ask me. Did it really make a difference either way..........hell.........I couldn't tell.
