I use State Farm for everything. They can do collectors, stated value, etc and will cover DEs. If you do a search for discussions on here you will see many, many positive recommendations for SF, and lots of negative reports for the other companies. Allstate, Progressive, etc got bad marks in the "post-claim performance" category. Give them a shot.

Thanks for warning me off of Progressive, I was just talking to them on the phone, and they didn't wanna do the DE's, inspite of me stressing that it was a non-timed, non-competative, non-ranking event. They just said that "didn't want to cover that type of risk", as they say. Oh well, State Farm next I guess.

I've also asked the question of the Hagerty representative if I couldn't combine another insurance specific for DE's, although that sounds like it's going to be expensive, double insurance and all that.

Will keep you apraise as to developments on this end. Keep the info. coming.

I have been using hagerty insurance and they are pretty cheap plus they give me a full coverage and flat bed towing and life insurance for me and my spuse if we go to car shows... They seem nice, but never had to ask them for anything yet, so not sure how good they really are... Just my 2 cents.

Hagerty is really good if you keep the miles under 2.5K/yr, and go to concourse events. It's also good if you want to just insure DE events, and have other primary coverage. However, they won't let you combine the two, nor increase the milage. So for my needs, it's not a fit. Glad that it works for you.
