You know, people say its overkill....but then why did the 993 come with them? Our cars can do pretty high speeds as well. Are these brakes only useful on a car thats stopping from 180??? This doesn't really make sense to me.

cause a 993TT is much heavier then we are, and has hundreds more pounds on the back wheels.

Weight in the rear. Theyre heavier back there, so they dive in the front less. Since there is less dive, you can have bigger brakes on the back without them locking up the tire, due to more weight pushing down.

Those wheels are amazing to look at. Are they 19"s?

Take them out and test them someplace safe. You may have messed with the F/R balance and if you have too much rear brake, in a panic stop you could swap ends.

I figured I would get some attention posting that pic.

I am not using those calipers on my car, just wanted to see if they bolted up for the heck of it. They do and are even centered on the rotor. The only problem is that our rear rotors are not of a large enough diameter to be able to use the calipers.

Still looks pretty cool nonetheless. What I did end up with on the rear is this...

Gotcha!

Yea, good pics and color but I would worry VERY much about locking the rear up way before the front. It would come down to what bias valve you have (stock of 928 one), size of wheels (between front and rear), with more rear tire on the ground you could get away with them more, suspension on the car (stiffer up front gives you less dive in the front, so you would have more weight on the rear wheels), also if you are at stock weight (if you removed weight from the car, like from the rear expecially, you would loose traction back there). What kind of brakes do you have up front then?
