Painting/powder coating/polishing both the cam tower and intake will require removing them. The intake's not too big of a deal but removing the cam tower requires disconnecting the timing belt, at which point you might as well do the belts and probably the water pump. Not that's worth doing just for the purposes of bling. In my case I had the head off, so it was a case of 'while you're in there'.

Just FYI.

I think Clark's garage has a write up on how to adjust the afm.

Here are a few shots of what i did to my S2 engine I went with Yellow wires from Paragon because of all the Yellow in the engine compartment already and then had my cam cover polished. I was hoping to find some steel braided fuel lines can anyone help and are there any disadvantages to these lines.

RMD - nice engine, the polish looks good.

To post your pics so that we can see them w/o clicking the links:

- Upload your pictures like you did
- Copy the link like you had in your post into the Clipboard
- Click on Go Advanced to create your message
- Click on the icon that looks like a mountain scene. This will pop up a dialog box. Paste the URL from the clipboard into this dialog box. Click Done
- The dialog box will insert a [IMG] tag into your message with the URL, which will make the pic viewable in the message.

HTH, welcome to Rennlist

It's a less than obvious process, took me multiple tries to get it right.

Generally, to paint or do anything with the engine, you will have to remove the part. the end result is WELL worth it though, IMHO.
