Default Momo steering wheel not self-centering...

Well,

I finally drove the 951 today, had to check out the new Vitesse MAF!

Anyways, I'd installed a momo steering wheel several months ago. The wheel is binding up, it's not returning to center at all.

In other words, you turn the wheel and it sits there. I've never had this problem and I've installed lots of momo wheels in previous cars. What's the deal?

Oh yeah, and my horn doesn't work. At least I know how to fix that...

do you have the late adapter and not the early? just wondering i tried the late one on an early car once and fried some wiring. I would put the other wheel back and see if its a coincidence or if the new wheel is binding somehow, then from there its all about why?

I have no idea. I have whatever Momo adapter is meant to fit the car, a 7004 I think...

I could put the airbag wheel back on, but it's a bit of a PITA, so I'd rather not.

Got it fixxed. The hub was binding up on the black plastic cover. Took my dremel to it and all's well.

With the exception of my horn, now it's either on all the time, regardless of whether I have the horn button depressed, or not on at all. This is seriously pissing me off!
