I don't know why buy I always get mine a week after everybody else? My brother lives an hour away from me in Elkhart, IN (east of where I live) and he even gets his about 4-5 days before me and the stinkin' thing comes from California... go figure?????

Cory, NORMAL 1989 944 Turbo Coupes in excellent condition creeped up to $14,363 from last year's $13,813. Unfortunately, these numbers do nothing to recognize things such as major awards and celebrity ownership. I'd add 100% to the numbers above to get a true street value of your most excellent example!!

Thanks for the numbers big Dan (and as always the gratious comments on my baby)

Uhm, read last year's article since the wording didn't change for the 3rd year in a row. Basically all are up a small percentage.

Can someone please give me an idea of a value of an '88 Turbo S with 77K miles out of this addition? Condition seems to be 8 out of 10. Good paint, no dash cracks.

Edit- BTW, why does NADA ($9225.) KBB ($5800) and Edmunds ($8000) seem so out of whack with the market? I have not seen any Turbo S w/ under 150K miles for under $11K.

TIA

Market value for all the 924/944/968 line seems to be up just a bit. However looking at the past 5 years it seems that all cars except for the 968s are at the bottom still. They seem to be boucning around each year up and down by $1500. Seems to me this shows they have hit bottom as one year they are down, the next year up, year after that down again. This seems to be based on the actual flow of cars Bruce sees in order to make up his reports.

The good news from this however is that the 944 you purchased 3 years ago is worth the same thing now as it was then (assuming you did not beat it in to the ground in that time). Also if you but a decient 944 it will not lose value. Hell I bought my nice & solid, but not perfect, 88 Turbo S in Feb 1997 for 12,500. At the time it had 90k on it. Now it has 125k on it and I'd bet is still worth 12k. Not bad for having a car for 9 years. I could have got a Boxster in 1997 for 40k and now it would be worth 20k or less.

There are several of us on the board there that are very good with that exact thing. If you can post more info such as:
- shape of interior
- is it stock
- if not stock what's been mod'd
- does it come with records and if so "exactly" what records does it come with
- if all else fails, if you can post pics of the interior and exterior (as many as you have) that's the best way to get an "over the internet" quote from us

'83s are supposed to be up big time. I heard an excellent example brings as much as $6700.

Now taking trades for a decent S2.

1988 951 S 80k for $13,9

I think the above car (if it's as advertised) is a very good deal. It's comparable to what you are looking for, yet it does have some extra goodies
