Valve stem seals
Going for a head gasket replacement, might as well refresh the head with new guides, seals and so on.
Thing is, the head gasket kit contains the eight valve stem seals (or valve guide seals) and they come in brown color. I saw places (such as Paragon) selling Teflon seals, which come in white.
Any difference? which to use?

Unless your building a high powered race car, would it really be an issue? I don't know the answer to your question, butt, there are all kinds of these fancy-mancy products out there for us all to waste money on. Just a thought.

in my OPINION, oem will be just fine. It will probably last longer as well. OEM seals are usually the best quality and last the longest. Yours lasted 20 years right?

I have used the factory seals and the Victor Reinz versions without any problems. They are different. Some have reported problems with the VR's. You cannot go wrong with the ones from a dealer.
