Electronic Charger Information MSRP $69.99
The Braille No-Weight Division Electronic Battery Charger is specifically designed for use with Braille Batteries. This charger has a maximum output of 2 amps and is electronically regulated to sense when the battery needs charging and then perfectly brings the battery up to a full charge, maintaining the battery for whatever period the unit is in storage. The charger includes an easy-to-read three led lights to indicate the status of the charge.
This charger also includes two styles of connectors. The first is an eyelet style that can be placed under the automotive terminals on the Braille battery. This connector can be permanently attached to the battery while a quick-connect will allow the charger to be attached or removed quickly. The second style of connector is a simple alligator (crimp) connector. This will allow the charger to clamp to any battery for a quick charge, or a long term regulatory charge.
Like the battery, this charger is the smallest and lightest charger on the market and is perfect for any race team or long term storage of your vehicle, ensuring a “ready to win” performance from the battery.

Few questions:
1. Can any 12 volt charger be used on these?
2. Do these need a mounting bracket to be secured in our cars? If so, how much are the brackets? And can they be added into the Group Buy?
3. I assume the price includes shipping?

Thanks!

I believe you can use any charger that doesn't charge over 2 amps. I already asked those same questions and I'm waiting for the answers. I'll see what I can do..

I have nothing to do with Braille, I just emailed them for a group buy and now I am just trying to pass on some savings.

They include the universal mount for $10.and free ground shipping.

Braille recommends using their charger as it charge whats needed and will not over charge.

I revised the listing and included the price.

This is what you have to order..

Part# B14115911
5 - units: $149.00
w/ Braille Electronic Charger $189.00
Pricing Includes Shipping

You can certainly use something like a Battery Tender + on it also, maximum is 2A but it cycles down much lower to maintain a charge..

Thanks for working on the GB!

Their site only shows applications for 911 variants, I couldn't find anything about 944 cars. Are the posts in the proper place and orientation for our cars? I apologize if this info has already been stated and somehow I missed it............

Yeah, they don't have a real 944 setup yet. The battery is so small that you can turn it what ever way you want to make it fit.

I'll be in on this one! The guy i contacted about a group buy has been a PITA and never got back to me.
From what i've heard from him braille just came out with a heavy duty 14lb unit which is supposed to hold the charge better than the 11lb one.
Count me in.
Vlad.

I would have thought more people would have jumped on this. Just my opinion, but I think the price is still a bit high.

Evil: Your efforts are appreciated, I know how much work these things can be sometimes. Thank you!

You might want to put a "drop dead date" on this GB. Set a date that all orders must be in by. That may get the procrastinators to act more quickly. Just an idea?

Having just spent a crap load of $ on suspension components, I'm trying to figure out how to do this without my better half finding out Make sure to let us know before ending this GB.

Thanks again.

FYI, the Braille is a relabeled Deka power sports battery which can be bought for significantly less, read almost half, than what the Braille retails or groupbuys for.
