Because making it last in it's environment isn't like making a Fueler last 5 seconds...you can't ask a buyer of a Gemballa CGT or a Veyron to ride the thing no more than 100 miles between full rebuilds. That's the reason for the 7 digits.

...which is usually what people tend to call things they haven't worked out how works and go for huge displacement instead...65hp/liter is NOTHING. Which means that a 380 hp 350 just barely passed the stock 944 in terms of power per displacement. In other words,it has only then just started making power...
