Congrats on finishing it. I too had the reference sensors crossed after my clutch job. After fixing that, it started right up. The car did leave me stranded the following week though. Fortuneately it was only the DME relay and I was able to bypass it untill a new one came in.
I see that you work at a Honda mc dealer. I recently bought a '86 vfr700 that was missing its hardware to mount the fairings. Would you by chance know if Honda sells a kit with all the necessary fairing hardware?
Thanks,
Tom

I am glad you are able to get the car running again. I didn't know you worked at a honda mc dealer. I just bought a 2001 f4i and am working on it. The bike starts fine but after a few seconds the idle goes from 1k to about 2.5k and the FI light goes on in the instrument cluster. I have not taken anything apart yet but am suspecting some kind of a vacuum leak. Can you shed some light on what your feelings are on that bike and what may be causing the problems? Thanks.

Well, no issues car runs better than ever.
Motorcycle stuff - email me at honda919rider@yahoo.com and I'll get you fixed right up, if it is a Honda.
Thanks for all the support, Scott especially so.

Update:
No problems, car is doing great. I really need to double check the bolts, and add that missing CV Bolt washer retainer thing.
Did notice some odd noises during some spirited cornering, but heck, I'll slow down!
Thank you all again, very much so.
I'll try and get back more often, my world is in a "revolutionary" period at the moment . . .

Or drive it down today, we are having a KCWS Indoor Racing League cart session at 4:00pm in Olathe. Its a blast, and we always get together for a beer/bench racing session afterwards.
While you are down here, we can put your car up on my lift and throw that missing cv bolt retainer on (I am sure I have an extra) and double check everything else.

Refused to start the other morning and I needed to get to work.
Thunderstorms, and I was late and had to ride my motorcycle.
I think I have the car sold for $3500.00 cash for the car as in only nothing else.
Starts, runs for a second, dies - fuel pump is what I thought, no power to it. Relay and fuses looked OK, but it is time to say goodbye to this car.
I will have a parts and stuff for sale if the buyer does not want to make a package deal.

Or should I let the manuals and all the other crap go with it for $3500.00?
I checked, no voltage to the fuel pump.
Found the ground on the back of the bellhousing was not tight, the bolt was too long.
Moved the ground wire to another position, but I quickly realized, my hands were not made to work on small cars and my eyesite has gotten really bad.
I am looking forward to seeing someone else enjoy my83944 . . . . .

That's just from Sunday; I was quite clean. There was 2 days getting the exhaust off (turbo, 2 piece, thank God) Several hours on the trans getting it out. That was the NASTIEST thing I have EVER pulled outta one of my Pcars!! Not to mention the hours spent trying to convince that sensor that it would rather stay in one piece as opposed to the garbage can. AND, I removed the everything off the top- of the engine plus the heater valve to make access to it EASIER!!!!!
