Default Rock's 951 is alive!!

Managed to bring another 951 back from the dead. At roughly 8:00 this evening I cranked it two times to get it fired up, no go, swapped the DME relay and she fired. Started with a cylinder down, a quick rev and got the oil pressure back up, a few more times at light revving and the 4th cyl cleaned up. Ran it a little while, the fans cycled, shortly after the last lifter shut up. Seems to run pretty good, no leaks so far. Haven't driven it yet, still on the stands. It does have 3/4 tank of gas that is who knows how old. From the slow response to the backfire apon cracking the throttle, it's pretty old and needs to be run out. Rock seems to be happy that the radio works and that Dan popped the dent out of the fender. Also, thanks to the parts donors, you guys know who you are. I know my pile-o-porsche took a slight hit in making this car run again.

Just thought I'd post, I'm not sure Rock has net access right now.

Nice! Glad to see another one come back. I'm still busy trying to iron out small bugs in #2 before putting it back on the market. I've got a done of parts though Andy (like black body parts) if you guys need anything.

Todd, we had rain most of the way back, nothing extreme tho. I need to call you soon.

I pulled it out of the garage tonight, first time I've seen this car move under it's own power, lol. I guess the tranny is still ok. So far it seems to be a pretty decent car, needs some love, but well on the way.

Good work Doc Boost!

Just an FYI.. This is the car that I sold to rocky that had fire damage.. who was it that said it was better off to just junk it??

I'm glad we saved another 951.

Also, Andy the stuff is on its way today

Congrats guys, looks like that car is coming along nicely since we saw it before 944fest. I can't wait to see more progress and pics.

Wes, are you back finally?
