Default $0.99 924S on eBay in Oklahoma

eBay Auction

Miscatagorized car. Counter on the page says only 74 views. Needs a lot of work, but probably too nice to part out.
Listed with no reserve, although in the text of the ad he says the reserve is $750, which is probably too much. So I'm not sure what would happen if the auction ended under $750.00 Auction ends 9:39 tonight, CST.

No affiliation. Let's not bid against each other either. If you're already watching this auction PM me and I'll delete this post.

I dunno, as much as I hate seeing any Porsche cast aside, it's getting to the point that even if free, some of these cars are overpriced (not worth touching).

A good respray alone will cost more than that car will ever be worth (assuming you cannot do it yourself)

Body work sucks. Even at that price, I wouldn't touch it just 'cause I hate doing body work that much. . .

The owner of said car is a Porsche nut. He has a freakin ton of 924s. You can find him on 924board.org if you want to know more about the car.

Call me crazy, but I'd pay something for it if I lived nearby. Certainly not $750, but something. The paint issues are solved with a bottle of 3M Imperial glaze, the bodywork needed doesn't look all that bad.

The mechanical issues look like they'd need some used parts and a week of work, and you'd have a decent running car.

It would be a shame to let any P-car waste away to nothing, so hopefully someone can fix her back up.

Last year I bought that car for about $750 as a father/son project and neither of us had the time for it. I was glad to get rid of it for $600. The car does have a lot of new parts including a $200 Bosch rebuilt starter that I put on it.

The seller is a really cool guy and being up front.

Man it has been a long time since I was here.

You last visited: 03-20-2005 at 04:16 PM.

If the car is a local sale I can support with limited parts, no big money parts for free, but I'll work with you to get it going. Of course I can ship some items.

I bought this car for my brother.

My brother decided after discovering coolant in the oil he would rather not be worried about the level of the rebuild on the engine.

And I have no time to work on it nor really an interest. The timing belt needs to be set again. And I'm tossing in the known parts needed to get a good start on it. The paint isn't in terrible shape and the body stuff may be hand worked, no major creases, but that is just my opinion.

I hated to see Paul have to have it hauled off to the salvage yard so I bought it and hauled it off to the house. I would rather not part it out nor do I have the time to part it out. I've "saved" several cars from the crusher.

But I've been trying for years to downsize my addiction.

I'm down to these cars and anything is for sale, as long as I have one street car and one project car I'll be happy.

Are you planning on relisting it on ebay? If so let me know.

I can if you prefer, otherwise no, I wasn't planning too.

The first listing I just wanted to drum up some interest without paying the big ebay fees. I spent way too much on fees over the last year and not seen any benefit from eBay when it comes to service problems.
