Default exhaust help please

hi


i have a 1987 944S no cat ( uk ) would the front box from a 1985 944 fit ?

there is one on e-bay, part numbers are different on pet but if the length and bore size are the same then it should be alright, can anyone confirm this or is it a definite NO IT WONT WORK

Not sure what a "front box" is - but the 944 and 944S exhausts can be swapped for each other. The main difference is the the 944S exhaust has a resonator just aft of where the catalytic converter is on US models.

The mouting points are the same.
