Hello every body and merry Christmas.First time posting on the 944 forum.I just got a beautiful 88 944 auto and i had it deliverd to my mechanic to do some service.The dumass tow truck driver scratch the right side of it and the tow truck company is going to paint it thank god.The bad part is that i cannot find the paint code anywhere on the carso i am hoping some one can help me out.The paint looks like a weissgold but just a shade darker.Is there somebody out there that has the same colour car that can give me the code?Thanks in advance

For 1988, these were the paint codes available. it should be on the options sticker in the rear hatch under the carpet between the taillights.

i dont think they are specific to 944 or 951, but these are for 86 *edit* i dont even think they are model specific, just porsche specific

So India Red is what we commonly call Guards Red? Or is the 86 951 I'm looking at a mis-advertized re-paint?

yes, india red is the same thing as gaurds red. both have the L M3A code. just depends where you dig them up i guess
