I have 2 944T models in process, all Tamiya/Italeri kits (they show up on ebay every once in awhile). I also have a 944S kit that is in process.
Here is a well-done version of the TCup "Pinkie" model.

Got it plus several others. There is a 944S model by Testors that I've yet to get. If you see one please let me know as it's even more rare than the pink 951.
Took forever to get one off of ebay. Got it for $20 but they usually go north of $40.

Got two of the cabs. They're getting more and more rare.

Looked for this one for a while and finally got it.

Just for lagniappe here's a Matchbox limited edition 944 Turbo. Amazing how close the color is to my 1:1 scale car.

Oh yeah I've got others. These pictures are about half of my collection of car models. As a kid I used to build one a week. As an adult I've only put together one. Keep meaning to start one and detail it to the 9's but time isn't on my side.
Some other interesting models. I had a 280ZX thus the reason you see it here. Actually I've got 5 280zx models.
Some cool cars.
More models. Notice the fullview MBZ CLK-GTR. Uberrare!

I did some research and the wheelbase on the new 951 kit is very very close to Kyoshos' wheelbase on the Ferrari Enzo Mini Z racer. (http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/product...13327C195.aspx) But the width is off. Maybe wheel spacers would do the trick. The Mini Z's are a hoot to drive and you can have fun indoors with them. I want to do a 951 body for a Mini Z racer. I have concerns about the plastic's durability in a impact, but it would very, very slick zipping around.
In the spring I looked all over but could not find the Mini Z Enzo, something about Kyosho's reconfiguring their distribution channels. Most of the Mom and Pop hobby shops I spoke to had pretty much written of Kyosho, even the shops listed on the kyosho website. It is sad when a company drops the ball so bad that a customer can't find their product anywhere. I see a few on Ebay but they are in Hong Kong!! I just noticed one in the "ebay stores", that is a first. ($140! Sheesh!)

Dan,
It would be fairly simple to make a mold from your current body. With that, you could expermient with different materials to see which worked best. Also, it'd save you from the possibility of destroying the original model body.

I can't see going thru all the trouble of making a mold if the kit was available fairly cheap. I have no mold/cast experience but if you have to spend hours to get it right I'm more the type that would just spend $25 and get another one. Since I don't have any experience casting parts like that I don't know what materials would be better.
