Default Hello All

I recently joined RennList and have been posting on the 928 forum. My dream car is a 87-91 928 S4, but I have found myself really intrigued with the idea of a 968 cabriolet. I look forward to chatting with you guys as I have on the 928 side. Thanks.

Dan

Welcome to the board!

What's your planned use of the 968 Cab? Daily driver or potential part time track toy? Will it be yours or your wife's?

Do you own a Pcar yet or still shopping?

You are on the best website on the net for info on Porsches.

In case I didn't say it before, thanks for all the welcome posts and pm's I received. My first p-car ride was in a 924 with an Audi 5 cylinder turbo under the hood. I have always loved the 928 and a used car dealer in the area has 8-10 Porsches on his lot. He likes all things German. He gave me the keys to a silver 88 S4 and I had a blast. He currently has 3 924s and I think 2 944s. He just sold a white 951 in October. He took me to Manheim auto action and there were rows of newer 911s and Boxsters. The Cayenne was also out in force. After talking to some people here and over at 968.net, I think I'm going with a guards red or black 968 cab. I love the speed yellow but that is very rare. Damian in nj has told me when the salt clears I can go see his in person. I was think of a tip in case the wife wants to drive it and it doesn't have the 3k pinion issue. It will be a weekend/fun car so an auto doesn't bother me. I drove a Merc SL600 V-12 auto from the same dealer and I really enjoyed top down motoring.

From what I've gathered, there's a huge performance difference the manual and tip for the 968 (never driven a tip, personally). It probably won't bother you as much to let the wife learn to drive a stick...

I'll have to see what's out there when the time comes. I'll have to learn more about the pinion failure in the mean time. I'd love to find a yellow one, but the red and maybe the black are both ok in my book.

Sorry I missed this post. We live very close to each other. Once it gets nice out, we can meet up and you can have a ride in my 951. It'll be cool to have someone to motor with around here!

Where in Bucks are you at? Close to Quakertown or more south? I'm starting to fall for the 951 so a ride would be greatly appriciated.
