I find it funny that whenever someone posts a product review they always have to have a disclaimer of non affiliation. Forum is so uptight, heh.

I got mine from a local porsche shop. They're always willing to give them away for free; after all, you're advertising for them.

Thanks for the find though!

Lets see if this image uploads. I tried to get some other pics but the plate is reflective and it makes it tough. I'll have to catch some in the AM.

Looks nice! Too bad it covers too much of the plate for here in Texas. We now have a law preventing license plate frames and covers. They cannot cover any of the writing or the plates insignia. Really sucks!

Now let's see how long that chrome lasts

Yup a real pain in the A! Not to mention having to have a front plate!

I think as long as you can read TEXAS you are alright though.
But let's face it, driving a Porsche® you are already a target.

I am not running a plate in the front of my car right now. I know it is illegal but pretty much all the DPS and local police I have talked to said that I probably would not get pulled over for just that. I have been driving cars for 5 years now without tags on the front. no problems yet. However, on the target front, there is a teenager here that has a beater NA and he always drives it like he stole it! I get pulled over at least once a week because they think I am the kid. Not one ticket yet, they are usually pretty embarrassed when they get to my window.

Here is a somewhat related question, is it legal to run a euro plate behind your state license plate on the rear of the car? I have seen it done on a few cars, mostly Volvo's. Thought it looked pretty cool actually. I have a euro style plate i obtained from Portugal (one of those things i just 'had' to get before i left') and was thinking of doing the same.

Jon,

I don't know the anwer to your question, but it reminded me of something else. Earlier this year, I saw an STi with the regular Ontario plate (similar in dimensions to all US plates) trimmed right close to the numbers on all 4 sides and finished with some kind of small beading. It looked fantastic. Probably illegal though, but maybe a compromise between just ditching the front plate entirely... I wish I had a picture of it.

Michael, Nice frames. Its always good to get feedback and details on some of the products regularly featured on Ebay. Thanks.

Alright here is something that needs to be started.

All states should issue Euro Style plates (as specialty plates-pay your specialty money) for anybody wanting them.

I actually saw a Euro "Texas" style plate that someone had created and put on the front of their VW. Obviously illegal in so many ways, but I thought of doing the same. I mean it says your actual plate number, what more do they want!

Of course I could easily see this being something in the Rennlist store
