Default Need a body shop in Houston

Hey guys and fellow Greaseslingers....know I've been AWOL for awhile, but that's what happens when I'm taking aero engineering grad classes. My brain goes into synaptic lockdown and a moratorium is declared on social activities and general household upkeep.

Some bad news...'Sandy', my '89 944, was rear-ended TWICE during Rita evacuations. It's not real bad (hell, we were barely going 10 mph when I was hit) but the left rear taillight assembly is smashed up good and the fender is bent, dented and just plain painful to look at. Bumper is fine as the guy hit the curb before me and that allowed his front bumper to clear my rear and hit the taillight directly.

So I need to find a good body shop, preferably one that specializes with either Porsches or our fellow German brethren. Will post a picture when I get home tonight.

Ditto Brian - the last body work I had done was at the local Ford dealer here in Katy (BTW - they did an excellent job on my daughter's Mustang). Had some paint work done at another local shop, but I wasn't real excited about the results, so I can't give them a thumbs up.

Can say this though, next time you have to evacuate ya better get your butt AND your Porsche over here to my house or I'm gonna beat ya like a red headed step child! That goes for the rest of the Greaseslingers in the surge areas as well.

Heck, I got rooms in this here hotel I don't even get up to in a given month. Besides, coulda had a grand time playing poker and billiards.

Brian,

Check Kopriva Body Works. 4619 Harrisburg. Ph(713)923-4017

They've done stuff for my family and friends, and they do really good work. I'm going to have them work on two of my cars pretty soon, and you guys know how picky I am.

Might be too far for you, but there is a place up here on the NW side called Cazzaris (sp?). They do a lot of German stuff, and seem to do good work. A friend is restoring a '69 Mustang, and is taking it there for the paint. I'll see if I can find a # for you.

I completely forgot about Casari's. Had body work done on my 83 944 about 10 years ago. They did a GREAT job.

Brian,
Casari's is one of the best Body shops in Houston Though you wouldnt think so if you just walked in off the street, we are sending our Pantera there in the next few months a complete body restoration its going to run right at 6.5 grand, but he is the only one I would trust with this car, but there is also Mezzaros (sp) right by seans house in spring branch, they have done some paint work on my 968 and on my dads Z06, they do great work also, I can dig up his number tonight, they do most of the P-car dealers work,

Scott
