Guys, no need for tears. If it sells, well, it will still be around, just someone else will have it.
And if it doesn't sell, no biggie. I'll probably see you guys at the 'Fest in any case.
Hey, maybe I should paint it like the one in the Porsche factory museum?

Pinky!
I've seen Pinky a couple of times. I have quite a few photos as well.

Just bought it on ebay from France, somehow completed the deal even tho I can't read French.

Paul, one thing that I have always wondered about is the fender liners. The list of deleted items shows them as being deleted, but from what I can barely see in pictures is it almost looks like a half liner at the rear of the wheel and possibly in front as well? Maybe you can clarify?

When I restore my 1987 Turbo cup next year to concourse condition I intend to make the car look exactly like "Pinky" by applying graphics, it is standard white now, graphics then can easily be removed at a later stage to keep the car 100% original. (any photos anyone has of Pinky will be greatly appreciated)
My car is one of 19 originally imported and raced here in South-Africa during the late 1980's. I am in the process of tracing all 19 cars, have found about 12 thus far, just verifying all the details and trying to get full race history. Will eventually post a thread on it someday.

There are actually 1/24 models of pinky with decals (I scrounged one a few years ago). Don't know if that would be helpful to you. They pop up on ebay every so often.

Some pics of interesting parts on the #10 '87 Escort car. This was the BF Goodrich tire testing car that later did a little pro racing in the SCCA World Challenge and IMSA Supercar series in the early 90's. Some parts are original factory motorsports pieces and other parts have been added by the race team/shops since.
1) solid alum. upper torsion bar carrier mount, factory motorsport part - note part number in casting.
2) factory 951 part numbered Koni double adjustable rear coilover, with non-factory hose clamp pulling duty as a lower perch jam nut...
3) unusual banjo bolt and fitting on front brake caliper line, (correction) - this is some recent update(?) or shop modification, has a 999 part number.
4) Smaller 90 Amp alternator; Kelly Moss swaybar bracket stiffener, cool brake ducting, clamp on inboard side of swaybar bushing, factory Cup manual steering rack (depowered power rack).
5) little heat shield to protect tie rod balljoint.
6) factory undercoating delete tub.
7) factory ABS over-ride pressure switch on master cylinder, heat shielding on brake lines (?)
8) Hood strut bracket
9) Hood pin bracket, unusual K&N filter and AFM arrangement.

Cool pictures Jim! Thanks for sharing. My favorite is the heat shield on the tie-rod end!
(I think the hood prop-rod mount is on backwards, thought... the big end should be closest to the windshield.)
