I'm going to get the spoiler painted to match the rest of the car so I'll document the install (with good pixs) when it comes back from the paint shop.
Clark that would be great, specially some good pics of the tabs.

Thanks for the pics testarossa_td, that kinda gives me an idea of what they refer to. Be good to see them uninstalled to see what needs to be fabed. Templates perhaps

So if I'm understanding Clark's project and from some of the other threads....he shouldn't have an issue with the trunk key being that he is using the trim WITHOUT the brake light, correct???

Yep, you can see how the 3rd b-light protrudes out of the lower spoiler trim in testarossa_td pixs. W/o it I have no problem inserting the key into the hatch lock.

BTW, in the testarossa_td pixs that looks like a 968 hatch glass. I don't see the screw holes in the hatch trim that secure the traditional rubber spoiler. Those tabs look like they're integral with the hatch trim. Would luv a close-up of them. I'm still fiddling with the angle and length to get the lower spoiler gasket to sit right. PET also specifies "shims" for the lower spoiler trim tabs (which I purchased) but have yet to figure out how they are used.

That is 2bridges 968 hatch.(not 44 converted). He sent it off to paint. He may have gotten it back. He would be the man to get detailed picts posted from.

Geeze, sorry I got back from paint and assembled and on the car.
I can dig up a few more pics of the brackets, and to claify the one in pics is in fact a 968 hatch not a reworked 944. I will take another look at what pics I may have

ALSO the key is very close, but does barely clear the thrid tailight

Ok, these are provided courtesy of 2bridges(thanks! ). They show some of the stuff in more detail. I'm waiting to hear back from Clark W. with answers to some specific questions. I'll try and do a write-up when I get all the parts and do the installation.

in the pictures above there are 4 metal tabs sticking off the back edge of the frame which serve as attachment points for the center trim piece. These tabs are located at the same place where there are holes in the 944/951 frame however their absence prevents it from being complete easy bolt on replacement. several people have done a creative job fabricating these tabs however any write should include these in detail.

I can tell you from my measurements the tabs about ~.75in wide and 1.5in long. I purchased some metal Simpson brackets from Home Depot with the idea of cutting out a few metal strips with the Dremel next week. The tabs are slightly angled and I'm trying to figure out the best way to attach them using the hole in the frame that already exists. I believe Clark did something similar.

Thanks Rick good info. I see you are a few steps ahead of me in the install. My spoiler should get here next week, I then need to get all the misc. stuff from Sunset. So far I'm working off pics, PET and the info on this thread. PM'ed Clark but haven't heard back from him yet.

What are you doing regarding gasket #951 512 465 02? Someone on the thread said it wasn't needed. Are you going with the S2 center spoiler or the 968 one (with the brake light)?

Thanks for the info.
