Default 951 (w/19's?) at 2005 NOPI Nationals

Not sure if the owner resides on this forum, but this is the first time I have seen the new OEM 19" wheels (or at least that is what they look like) on a 951.
A little lunchtime "eye candy".
(Thanks to the Nissan boys at nico.com for the pics.)

Unique..and euro bumper, 968 side skirts, tail...
I think if they had different wheels that car would be alright...went a little crazy with the screen....

Loose some of that screen crap and get some 17s or even 18s, that car would be sweet!

I like it.

Snorty nose.. sleepy eyes.. It looks lazy. Or on dating a supermodel.

IIRC those are the new 997 wheels.

Aside from the mesh everywhere that car looks a lot like Sam Grant's car. Not as nice but similar.

i like it. the grill thing is too much, but aside from that i like it alot. i love the 997 wheels. absolutely love them. better than the older boxster S wheels, which i also love the design of. i was thinking of putting some on my 951, and now i have an idea of what they'll look like. Sealed beam conversion would have been better, but the sleepy eyes are ok. it would probably look better with projectors. but i like the squared off look.

Yep, it looks like the "Gutter Guard" Special Edition 951.

WTF?

Think there are ducts that run back to the center of the hubs behind those screens?

Tifo I am about 99.9% sure that the three screens on the splitter do nothing...

That would be a cool idea and explain the 2 side ones, but what is the middle one for?

Ew. In so many aspects.

Loose the chicken wire mesh crap.

While clear corners may look good on a modified MR2 turbo, it's just wrong on a Porsche.

While I like the look of the new 997 wheels, they're just not right - if one must upgrade, at least stay within 10 years of the model!

The bling! bling! Lazy eye popup headlights are just plain stupid, especially with the $15.00 Autozone fog lights there in place of regular headlights.

The coffee can exhaust has got to go, as does the 968 side molding.

Betcha it's not even a turbo! This is NOPI, afterall... (But it looks like it does have the 951/944S2 type nose panel)

No sir, I don't like it.
-Z-man.

PS: Then again, what do I know - I've got that ugly PORSCHE light thingy between my taillights! (Previous owner's only 'mod' to the car)

Step away from the neon lights. Put down the GReddy exhaust. Move away from the 'blue blocker' xenon-look headlamps.

ARE YOU ON DRUGS?

Just kiddin,
-Z-man.
