I agree, lose the bug screens and headlights and it would be a very sharp car. Lots of nice mods, just a few overdone ones as well.

I did not mean this post as a "pile-on" and Tifo's comments reflect my own. It was just that I had not seen the new 19" OEM's on anything but a 911 (and I think they look "da-bomb" on the Boxter too) and thought others might enjoy.

REST OF THIS SET OF NOPI PICS CAN BE FOUND HERE:

Around 300 thumbs. May take a while to load, but some interesting vehicles.

All things considered, I'd rather be looking at the NOPI chicks.

All kidding aside, I have to agree, the screen is too over the top, but I like the splitter and the 19" wheels. The lights I'm un-enthusiastic about.

Is that a 3rd brakelight under the S2/968 spoiler? I like that look on a gaurds car. I'm in agreeance with most here...also, I'm guessing that that mesh in the center of the splitter really weakend it?

Yes, thats a third brakelight. Im pretty sure the S2 and 90/91 turbos that got the bridge spoiler didnt have the brakelight. 1992-> 968s did however. I may not be spot on but from what I have seen most 968s do and most S2s with the bridge spoiler do not.

Hey, that's Kevin's car!!!

He bought a tow hook from me and we met up near my work. He is local to Atlanta and a very nice guy.

Say what you will about his unique styling taste but that is one badass car! He has spent a lot of money and time on it. The car only has like 48k on the clock.

And yeah, those are brand new 997 wheels. 19 x 11 on the rear and 19 x 9 on the front. The rears are so wide, the inside lip is almost touching the eccentric on the springplate. The car is immaculate!
968 hatch, original euro rear bumper...he has family in Great Britain. 968 rockers that are very nicely done, and on and on....all the clear lenses came from europe also.

And, Z, trust me it's a turbo.

And the gray car beside it is Josh Bare's old car that he sold that has Ian's graphite C2 turbo wheels on it....Crazy!!!

Tifo, not a lister yet, I talked to him about joining and he was up for it...now we'll see.

I'll jump on the wagon.... aside from the mesh in the splitter.... the car is very well done. The 968 rockers are a nice touch. I'd like to see some interior or bay shots if Kevin signs up. (and being an ATL guy, I might see it in person)
All in all a nice car with some personality.

I didn't care for the 968 rockers too much when Sam test fitted them on his car, but they do not look bad on that car. Maybe it's because there is so much going on with that car that they blend in with the "busy" look. (Did you unload those rockers yet Sam?) Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work, dedication and execution. Everyone has their own taste and I'm sure some people dislike what I've done to my car too.

Wow, I actually think the car looks alright. I agree, the mesh has to go, but he's done almost every upgrade that can be done to these cars using the 944/968 series parts, so the guy does have knowledge:

968 antenna, 968 mirrors and handles, 968 hatch, 968 rockers, euro rear bumper, Turbo fender badge, silver rear Turbo badge, Big Red brakes, AIR front splitter (modded with ugly mesh though), AIR (I think?) vented header panel, clear turn signals and sidemarkers, and of course, the new 911 wheels.

I actually like the idea of the headlights, I thought of doing an "RX-7"-style conversion a while back, I think it could look cool, but the fact that the ones he used are cheap Autozones that are really small, I agree it looks kinda sleepy. There's too much space around them, so they look like they don't belong.

He's spent a lot of time and money getting it there. I don't care for the mesh or the headlights. Also the 997 19" wheels are too new for that car. I think some older 17" or 18" 3 pc supercups would look great. Still nice car just a bit overdone...
