well said, Friendan. I can't tell Jud how to live his life or spend his money, nor do I even have the desire! but I do know that I started a family and raised a daughter (she was 5 when I bought it) while owning mine. anything is possible if you put your mind to it. however, the biggest thing to avoid is something I see all too often. many people believe they need to sell certain possessions to advance their lives, only to end up spending the money in ways that were nowhere near their goals, and then having neither. I wish you well, Jud. you have to do what you have to do. I hope the new woman in your life gives you much more than the one you're about to let go

congratulations

Thanks man. I know this woman will make me happy. I am in no way selling the car because of her. No she does not care about the car but she would never tell me to sell something that she knows I love.

I got my power ball ticket today. If I win the $340 million dollar jackpot I may be able to keep the car.

Nize, it is nice to see you back. It's been a while since I last saw you post.

Dan P. I have got to say that I kinda agree w/you. I have a house, I have a wife and John is on his way I have two daily's and now something to tinker with. I have got to say that every time a car goes into a shop it costs $. I don't think that someone living with ma and pa isn't a good owner and we have seen quite a few examples of people that have worked w/their parents to help bring these cars back and take care of them. Airbop and Campeck are a good example if he would just not crash them once they are done . God and my parents both know how many cars I have crashed in the past but I won't tell. There are a lot of other good examples of parents working with their children sons/daughters as well.

Now if the car is holding up other "life choices" well that is a bit different and the car nor any inanimate objects should come in the way. Justin I think that you are making the right choice if it is to cut your losses and maybe get some cushion financially. Another choice might be to park the car. Leave it alone, stop the mods and look at another more reliable daily if you already own it outright.

I sold a 21' Chris Craft Concept 208 (the other toy) to help offset some, "cash" not credit, issues when it came time for Lisa and I to move into the house we are in now so I completely understand how it could help.

Good luck!

Michael

Would you be interested for an '87 RED 924S auto (in very good condition) for a trade + cash? Since
you mention your fiancee will also need a car. She'll definitely look good in a RED Porsche and you
will still have a Porsche in your garage.I also have a Black '87 944S as another option + cash.Let me
adopt your car and rest assured, she will be in good hands.

It is all about choices, and sometimes they're not easy, and most times different people in the same situations would not make the same choice.

Man, if this was eight months from now, I would probably buy that car (bonus time), simply because it is SO nice. I know you will miss that car, but I agree compared to the other things going on, it is not that much of a priority. I did not even buy a car until I was in my mid-twenties in order to get established with a house etc., so I kinda know the feeling.

The upside is, in the future, when the house is mostly paid for and other important financial considerations are in order, you'll be able to get back into a P-car and go through all the fun of turning it into a super ride again. As good as your current car is, there will always be many other good ones out there when you are ready. You did a great job with your current car, and that will give you great memories and will also put a smile on the future owner's face.

Or, your number will come up in the Powerball and you can have a new 997 TT for each day of the week!
