Default Change color of Ruf wheels??

Hi everyone. I damaged one of the Ruf wheels. If I decide to repair it instead of looking for a new wheel, the thought popped into my head to have the other three wheels repainted. I hate curb rash. This would be an opportunity to change the color altogether. I think it would most likely look stupid, but maybe in black? Any ideas? Feel free to photoshop my car. :-)

I personally think white wheels look awesome on white cars. However, the time spent to keep 'em clean might sway you...

are you looking to refinish them yourself or pay someone? if you're gonna do it yourself, buy a can of aircraft remover, and put it on, use a paint scraper, and peel the paint off... then, spray with water, and then hit with a grease, wax, and tar remover... 3M makes a good one. after that, use your favourite rattle can paint, spray evenly, and be happy. unless you want to polish... get out the sand paper and WD40, and go to town... for a long long long time.

After I write my two papers tonight I can do it real quick, those wheels look pretty easy to do a color change, what colors would you like to see? I'm thinking the alpine white, black, gunmetal(maybe). I should(maybe) be able to get to it tonight, if not sometime tomorow afternoon.

Thanks guys for the suggestions.. Thanks in advance WhoDak.. Any colors you think. I'm thinking black especially, white, gunmetal as you said. Feel free to do anything else to my car you think I should do. :-) I'm already hesitant to change the color of the wheels since they're already so nice, so I wouldnt do it myself. I would pay someone. Thanks again!

Mello;

I drool all over your car every year at Hershey. LOVE those Ruf's.

If you have to paint them...big IF, I would go a black chrome powder coating. Not too dark, not too light. Like this guys 993 rims.

Ok, here's a few, I would have had them up last night....but college sucks sometimes...

The whites are my favorite...well they look just a touch bright for alpine white...but it's close.

Gunmetal or leave them as is. Those wheels are gorgeous, and painting them black kind of makes them disappear--you won't be able to see any of their characteristics.

Just my opinion!

Damn thats low, but it looks good. I'm still leaning towards staying with silver. I do like white. I was thinking of a really glossy black. Thanks for the suggestions!

Seems to me that it would be a real shame to put paint on those nice silver wheels.

Couldn't you just get the damaged wheel reconditioned so that it would look better?
