Default Turbo is Toast X-post

Finally got my intake off to check for a restrictor due to my oil burning problem. There was a restrictor in place. I then pulled the MAF off the front of the turbo and the shaft has about a 1/4" of play in it. A couple of the blades look like they have been rubbing against the housing. I am NOT a happy camper to say the least. Anyone know where I can get a nice Stage 2 or 3 turbo?

Under what conditions did it burn oil?
What turbo was it?
Sorry, I wasn't following very closely, but I suspect my oil burning may be turbo-related, so this may be very helpful.

are you getting proper oil to the turbo? i was talking to andy today about oil feed and how the oring in the balance shaft housing swells and cuts off oil.

After having trouble with a couple companies(Huntley, Turbonetics). The only place I buy turbos from now is Majestic Turbo. Decent prices and excellent service.

It was a SFR Stage II turbo. I bought it and the engine from Dan Scully. It was brand new on his AMW rebuild. I rebuilt the engine and oiled everything before the car was fired up. It started smoking the first time I hit boost (stayed off boost while engine was breaking in). I figured it needed a restrictor as oil would have been pushing past the seals. That was clearly not the problem. What a waste.
