Default WTB: pair of 9" D90's

I am looking for a pair of 9" D90's for a track car. They don't have to be in great shape as the car is not beautiful! :•) Looking for decent wheels at a decent price. Thanks for your response!

If you have any, just email me @ krause13@pacbell.net.

Thanks again!

Good Luck! Most of the S2 rims are only 8" wide.

9" wheels came on the 928 GT, 944 S2 M030 and 90-91 951. I'm about to buy a set of 7.5/9 for my car from Devek, and i'll eventually swap for 8/9. Try calling PartsHeaven, Wheel Techniques and Easy Dismantling.

Dmitry-

Thanks for the comments... I have 7" s & 8" s and want to go to 8' s & 9" s. I've got 245/45 RA-1's for the rear and will go 225/50 for the fronts. I have posted my WTB on the 928 board as well. I also just stopped by Devek this afternoon and Marc said that they had no more 9" s!! Bummer! I'm going to try Parts Heaven and EASY tomorrow, but they are usually higher...

Dmitry,
the last year of the 951 was the 89 i think. And the 89 951 was the 88 951S. The wheels look similar but are forged (forged is better, right) and have a groove around the edge.

Actually, Devek had some forged 9" s, but they are MUCH more expensive than the cast D90's I'm looking for...

Yes, in the US, the last year was 89, but in Europe, they made a 1990 and 1991 951. Sorry for the confusion.

so would the 90 & 91 be considered "S"? If so, would the 9s be the forged style?

When they made the 951 in '89 though '91, they dropped the S and just keep the 944 Turbo name but still had all the "S" upgrades!!

I'm not sure cast 9" D90's would be cheaper than forged 9" clubsports. The 9" D90 is not very common, particularly without the RDK tire pressure sender hole. That hole can be plugged or welded up but that makes for more work.

My cabrio came with 9" D90's on the back, one of them needs to be straightened (slight wobble on the inside lip) and there is some curbage. I have them off right now but I figured I'd keep them in case I wanted to sell the car in original shape. The problem with selling a pair of 9" wheels is then you have a worthless pair of 7" wheels, unless you can find four and a 924s owner who wants them. Or maybe the 911 guys like to put on wider fronts? I don't know.
