Hey guys and girls,
I was just curious how many miles per gallon you were getting on you NA 944? What type of mods do you have? What type of driving?
I am compiling a group of selling points for my better half and saving $$$ is key.
Thanx

32mpg on my S2. HAHA with gas pricing going up i was almost thinking of grabbing another one since my daily 1.8 liter VW barely sees 21mpg! (then again its turboed...and its just too much fun getting into the boost...)
I have a catback and a chip. Everything else is stock and in very good running order. Mostly highway driving.
Doesn't the 996 get pretty good mpg despite the 6?

She is a gas guzzler, between the 996 and my Jeep GC...I think I will go the 944 route but deciding between NA and T.
On another note 32mpg..that is insane. A great looking car that has fun factor and great milage.

924S -> 91 Octane fuel
Mods: Exhaust... did NOTHING for HP...
City MPG: approx 24 MPG
Highway MPG 29-30 MPG
for our turbo, last I filled up, 19.5 mpg.... it's hard to stay away from the boost...

I find the gearing on the S2 makes it a lot easier than some other cars to pick a speed and stick with it over long periods. That probably helps contribute to the efficiency a bit. At least in myself.

30+ mpg with cruise on at 70-85 mph highway
20-22 mpg around town
8 mpg in "all go or all stop" mode at Road America
Gotta love a car that let's you sit and drink water during the mandatory pit-stop of a 90-minute enduro, while others are jumping out and dumping jugs of fuel into theirs.
The only car I've owned that betters my 968 in mileage is the 2002 Jetta with the standard engine and 5-speed.
Practical supercars... Love 'em.

I was getting 26-27 in my 84 944 Stock. I got about 1 mpg less in my stock 951.
That is for tham 80 round trip daily drive. Mostly hwy, but occasional stop and go. That does include a an elevation gain of about 800 feet. Work is about 1200 feet and home is about 2000 ft. Naturally I get better mileage to work than from work.
Neat thing was the 84 NA needed on 87 Octane.![rockon](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/rockon.gif)
Currently my E39 530 BMW gets me 28-29 mpg for the same drive. Of course it also uses 91 like my turbo.

My '87 gets about 20-22 around town. I hardly drive any highway miles unless going back to school or on a trip...i have gotten between 25-28 on the times i have. I have only seen a 1-3 MPG difference between running the FRWilk chip and not...so i just leave it on all the time now. The chip require however that i run at the minimum 89 octane.
Somethings that would make that value higher or lower...
-FRWilk chip
-K&N panel filter in stock airbox
And the following items have been replaced...
Silicon vacuum lines, FPR, O2 Sensor, Fuel Filter

My 86 NA got 28 mpg on the trip to 944Fest. Thats traveling 85+ with bad plug wires...
My red 86 turbo got 25 mpg on the way home from Florida, and that was at 90-110 mph the whole freakin way.
