Cool, if a local buys it we can get it sorted out right and see what it can do.

Maybe there was something I missed but...if you just had the engine rebuilt (or whatever) and one cylinder has low compression, why aren't you taking it back to that shop and having them fix it?

because it is out of warranty. they only warranty it for like 600 miles or 6months something like that i forget but it is past that so i am screwed on that part.

I ended the auction early because i was going to go through with a trade in town and i had second thoughts about it so i am wanting to sell it again so i screwed myself out another 40 dollars to post it up again if no one is interested.

How long has it been and how many miles? I think i'd still go back there and bitch if it hasn't been any great length of time. No reason for an engine to be like that unless you completely thrash it. The squeaky wheel always gets the greese, and if you mention the BBB that might provoke a reaction out of them.

i can probably go and do that but they will probably blow me off since i really can't do anything about it. PLus i have to make the trip out of town to get over there.

Update did a leak down and compression yesterday when the engine was cold got these
150psi in 1,2,3 and around 94 in #4
6% in 1.2.3. and around 60% in #4

I had basically the same numbers you have and when I pulled the head off one cylinder had been chewed up pretty bad by a broken ring. Good luck with your sale, but with numbers like that you'll get half of what you should for your car.

Now daniel, I know your turbo is nice, but $13,000.00? come on... that is WAY high. espescially with gas prices the way they are... glad you re-thought your strategy...

Mods generally don't raise value... if they do anything to the value, it's drop it... even if they are go-fast, well executed mods...

it all matters on the buyer. some buyers will pay higher prices for modded cars to save them the hassle and money of modding it themselves.
