I've been watching ebay and they go for around $1000-$1200. That being said I've had one from an '89 S2 for sale for a while for $1200 and nobody seems to be interested in buying it, I guess I might have to resort to ebay to get rid of it.

2.5 cranks are usually shipping + a few bucks for icing on the cake from hat I've seen. So I'd think the S2 crank could fetch a couple-few hundred bucks. They are quite pricey to ship.

I would think that in europe the S2 and 968 had much higher release numbers than in the US so the supply is much greater. The supply and demand in the US isn't as balanced so prices are normally higher. As hard as these are supposedly to find they sure are hard to sell, I've been sitting on one for 2 years now and I've seen Bugzy drop his price a bit already and still have no luck selling it.
