Tell me this is something simple!
Jumped in the '84 last night to take a quick run and hit the clutch which proceeded to stay on the floor.
Looks bad to me. I was able to manually pull the clutch back and it stays but as soon as I press it again, it stays on the floor.
Help?

clutch master and slave cylinder. not to be confused with brake master cylinder even though they use the same reservoir/system.
look under the pedal for fluid.

clutch master or slave has probably failed. Not horribly hard but you gotta deal with some tight spaces and while you are in there you might want to change the line from the master to the slave as well.

I'll agree with the above posters. Buy both the Master and Slave (they work in tandem, so when one goes the other is not far behind), 1 foot of the blue line, and a quart of brake fluid. Should take you about an hour or so for this job if you have a power bleeder. Remember to disconnect the battery before you remove the starter.

You can usually find both new on Ebay for about $50 each. I just did both mine in my 924 and did them in my 944 also. Not hard work but tedious. Get a power bleeder, or make one like I did out of a $10 garden sprayer.
