Default Spacers (pics needed)

Thanks to my neighbour, he got me convinced that a set of 15mm spacers, on the rear wheels, would make the car look more agressive.

I am running Fuchs 16x8 in the rear (i think) and the car is already lowered 1.25" almost.

Would any 15mm spacers (for cars with 5 lug nuts) work or is there anything i need to watch out for?

Does anyone have any pics with spacers installed?

TIA!!

Below is a pic when the car used to have 951 7's on the front and 8's in the rear. I had a 1/4" spacer on the rear then to kick it out a little bit and fill out the well. 1/4" does make a difference, believe it or not. (now the car has the 8's on the front and 9's on the back)

I think 15mm may be too much for the stock lugs, unless you get longer ones. It may not leave enough threads.

13mm = about 1/2 inch. That's still too much spacer IMHO. 7mm is about the max I would recommend and still have adequate threads for the lugnut to grab. Any larger than that and you are taking your chances.

Have you given thought to looking for a pair of 16X9 930 fuchs for the rear and moving the 8's to the front? I think that looks great on our cars. I love this set-up on my car.

Tif.........that is what i am thinking of doing, but there is one problem..........i live in the middle of the desert and finding a salvaged 930 with such rims is near impossible.

7mm? hmmm.........i shall give that a try and see how it looks (takes just 5 mins to install anyways).

Any universal 5 lug nut spacer would do fine right/wrong?

Yes, the 930 16X9's are rare, and pricey. Going rate for them used seems to be $1200 to $1600 USD for a pair.

If you can get the ones that are cut properly for 130mm lug spacing that would be best. I really don't like the universal ones that are slotted. I think Paragon sells the 130mm ones.

Here is my previous 84 with boxster wheels. This spacers were huge. Never got to drive it much after I installed them, ended up selling the car. I was super pleased with the company that made them. I have the info somewhere if you need it.

james, do you remember the size of the spacer and the offset of the wheel on the rear?

I am trying to figure out if my 38 mm spacer on the rear with a 50 mm offset wheel will rub on hard turns or not, its out pretty far.

I think I have all of that written down somewhere. They were 2" on the rear and 1.5" inch on the front. They were adaptor/spacers, in that you bolt these on and they have studs pressed into them. You bolt your rims onto the studs.

I dealt with a guy named Junior at this company. He was very knowledgable about what I needed.
