Default My latest mod. . . pics

Well, several months ago I replaced the steering wheel with what I ordered as a 968 CS wheel, but it didn't fit right (I think they sent the 930S wheel) I managed to fit it on the larger diameter hub and use a spacer to get the nut back on, but the stock plastic piece wouldn't fit behind the wheel, I'm not one for apearance mods, but something HAD to be done. I had the option of doing a flat aluminum piece, or graphite, so I made use of some fall-off at work and made what you see below. Hopefully it isn't too blingy. I think its pretty subtle in the car.

What-cha'll think?

bleucamaro.......it looks great.......nice job!!!!!!!!!!! the club sport wheel is a great mod for the 944.......much nicer feel and more precise response when driving.....

heres a pic of mine....the story behind my wheel ( as told to me by the previous owner ) is that it was fitted to the very first 968 press car porsche sent to the UK....it was sent to AFN who were the first porsche car importers in the UK back in the fifties......anyway......one of the press members when test driving the car for his mag review ended up coming to an abrupt halt when he lost control and hit a tree!!!!! needless to say the 968 was wrecked but andrew sweetenham whom i bought my car from got a hold of the specially made clubsport wheel with the AFN emblem mounted in the centre where the porsche logo would have been......see pic below......

Shift pattern is the same too... it just takes some getting used to shifting with your left hand and looking over your right shoulder to see what's coming from behind in the passing lane.

That looks sweet!

Of course, my opinion is a bit biased!

yep......same shift pattern aswell.......its all right hand drive in ireland and the uk......and its what were used to over there.....saying that......i find it no problem getting in a left hooker and driving......its no different to me and im sure any of you who were put in a right hand drive car would be well used to it in a very short time......

so do you need an adapter plate of any sort to install that wheel?

Tifo's car looks like it has an adapter similar to my Momo adapter.

I guess I was the only one distracted by the cool fab job on the CF!
Make me one with some fall-off
Nice wheel though.
