The 993 locks have relief cuts and are made of hardened aluminum. Stick a socket on there smack it, hit it w/ a rachet and watch the end of the lock lug break off. Ask me how i know, and ive pulled plenty of locks that had lost the sockets before. The 993 locks can not be removed in my opinion w/o the tool, or drilling the stud off the car. Just my experience.
You can use Gator Grip or a Bolt Extractor and get them off in less then 5 seconds.

i guess maybe if they arent torqued down. Have you ever tried a real set or just the steel autozone ones. They are pre-cut to snap off before they reach the torque rate meant to break them loose. I grabbed one and tried to loosen it and wouldnt ya know it broke off before it reached 90lbs. Thats what happens when the shop keeps your socket.

Ahh, the guy from wheel enhancement today told me that im never going to find a deep lug lock that will be correct... im real confused right now as to what is going on. Im gonna do some research on offsets and find the correct size spacer for the rear so that everything works right. With a 9" wheel in the back, with a 15mm offset, would that fit on to an 84 NA with the stock 21mm Spacer still on there? I couldnt get it to fit right but dave from wheelenhancement said that they will. As for the lug locks, Yeah with the 944 ones I know you can even take a screw driver and just a brick not even a hammer... lol, but the others that have the socketed keys seem a little harder to get off, although the gator grip does sound like it would be a viable way to take them off. Gotta look out for those damn kids that carry the gatorgrips around with them....
