I just snapped the tip (circled in the picture) of the pin off. The pin on the other rear wheel seems to be frozen in too. I can turn the pin and the outside tip doesn't turn. Is there any way to unfreeze these pins? What should I do?

Well, now it is a problem. The little wire through the tip makes sure the pins stay in place and the pins make sure the pads stay in place. Actually not a lot of force on the pins.
You've got a few options:
Ignore it. The other three brakes will still stop you if this one fails (BAD IDEA)
Replace the pin. Pound or drill out the stuck piece. May need to take calipers off.
Get new calipers and send these back as cores. ($$)
Take to shop. Let them fix it. (and rummage around in your wallet.)
Gotta choose quick. Overnight shipping starting tomorrow will get you on the track Sunday. Saturday deliveries are ridiculously expensive.

I would probably remove the caliper and try to pound the pin out from the backside like Glen suggested. Put some liquid penetrant and apply heat to help unstick it. If that doesn't work
maybe you can hacksaw the pin in half and work each half free with a pair of pliers. Put
some brake grease on the new pin to prevent it from corroding in the caliper.

Thinking I am going to try to get it back together for fear that I will mess it up more and not be able to autocross with it on sunday. The pin should hold the way it is. The same thing is happening to the other side and I only have one pin.

Another part was broken that I need to put brakes back together so I just ordered (next day air) the rear pad retaining kit. The question I have now is to just use the parts I need to get it back together or drill out the pins and change the pads.
How difficult would it be to drill out the pins? What other damage can I do? Since I am supposed to autocross on sunday I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize my chances of racing.
If I do go ahead and change the pads does anybody ahve any advice/tips/tricks for drilling the pins out or anything else related to what I need to do?
Thanks

The pin broke on the inside of the caliper. I have pancaked the pin trying to pound it out so now it has mushromed and is bigger than the hole it has to fit through. I am thinking I am going ot have to drill it out. Any advice as to drilling or any others game plans?

Unbolt the caliper, drill a small pilot hole in the end of the pin, slowly work up through larger and larger drill bits. The pin should weaken and give way. Alternatively try and cut the pin in half and push it out from the inside.

drilled little hole and was able to chip away the metal around the hole. I've been hitting it with punches and have squashed it down below the hole. I keep pounding on it hoping it will eventually come free. Trying not to take the caliper off if I don't have to.. I feel that the way things have been going if I try to detach the brake line i would run into more trouble.

Pretty much. It worked wonders for me when I couldn't pull the old pads out of my S2's calipers. For extra cruddy situations like the photo appears to indicate, I'd try PB Blaster, as well.

All done!!!! Drilled out the pins on both sides installed new pads and all ok. Not as bad as iI anticipated. Think parking brake pads are shot so that is the next project however, my driveway is being ripped up tomorrow and needed to get the car done.
As usual, thanks to everybody. This board is an awesome place
