Default Where to buy fuses?

where do you buy fuses for the early cars?
The only place I have found them is at a VW shop all the way across town.

Do the fuses have a name, so people will know what I am talking about when I call around.?

Also does anyone know what else runs of the fuse that the windows run on.

Thanks.
